Established in 1992, Becker Vineyards, located in Stonewall, Texas, has grown into one of the region’s most renowned wineries. Visitors can explore the estate’s expansive lavender fields and their “wine library” located in the underground barrel cellar. The Becker Vineyards Lavender Festival takes place the first weekend of May.

Signor Vineyards is a boutique family vineyard on a 200-acre estate that combines Southern hospitality with French country charm. Set in a tranquil garden setting, with weekly live music and access to a market shop offering artisanal goods and picnic essentials, this winery is a definite personal favorite.
A hidden gem is the Slate Theory Winery, housed in a repurposed underground bunker that offers a truly unique tasting experience. Heath Sparkling Wines offers 90+ sparkling wines in a multi-sensory wine-tasting atmosphere with panoramic vineyard views.

Experiences other than Wineries 😉
Springtime is the best time of the year, especially for Texas wildflower viewing! Wildseed Farms is the largest wildflower farm in the United States. Stroll through vibrant fields of seasonal blooms, sip on peach wine, and browse the boutique nursery, gift shop, and an incredible selection of seeds. Definitely worth a visit and one of my favorites!
If you are a history buff, the National Museum of the Pacific War is now the only museum in the Continental United States centered on World War II’s Pacific campaign. Since 1968, the Museum has expanded to a six-acre campus and gained a reputation as one of the premier military museums in the nation.
Fischer & Wieser’s Das Peach Haus is a truly unique destination, set in a historic early 1900s brewery on a breathtaking property featuring beautiful ponds and over 1,000 peach trees. Guests can enjoy daily product samples and wine tastings and then unwind with a glass of wine by the pond. Find peaches at local orchards and roadside stands along Highway 290, known as the “Peach Highway”. Visit between mid-May through August for the freshest, juiciest peaches!
Fredericksburg’s downtown area is home to various high-end boutiques and specialty shops. Here are a few of my personal favorites:
Circle E Candles has 2 locations, one on Main Street and the other is the factory store, which is filled with all their candles. Circle E is known for their richly scented, hand-poured candles that make perfect gifts. Sugar and Suede and Leather are my favorites!

Nightlife in True Texas Style
No trip to Fredericksburg is complete without a stop at Luckenbach, Texas. This legendary spot offers live country music, two-stepping under the stars, and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere that truly embodies true Texas charm.
In 1971, Hondo Crouch bought the small community village Luckenbach, which was established as an Indian trading post. As mayor, he brought to life the town’s motto, “Everybody is Somebody in Luckenbach.” Celebrations held the Luckenbach’s World’s Fair, the first Texas Women Only Chili Cook-Off, the Return of the Mud Daubers Celebration, and many No-Talent Contests. One of my favorite honky tonk destinations!
Luxury Spa & Wellness
What’s a weekend escape without a spa treatment? Pamper yourself with a spa day at The Spa at Sage, a retreat offering massages, facials, and body treatments. As mentioned in luxury accommodations, The Spa at the Inn on Baron Creek is a great spot for a bit of spa time.
Outdoor Adventure
For a more outdoor experience, hike to Enchanted Rock for a sunset picnic. Enchanted Rock is a pink granite dome rock formation and one of the largest exposed batholiths in North America. The park also offers rock climbing, camping, scenic trails, and the best place to stargaze.
Lady Bird Municipal Park is the crown jewel of Fredericksburg’s recreational parks with 330 acres of rolling hills and the Live Oak Creek. Adjacent to the park is the Lady Bird RV Park and nearby is the Lady Bird Golf Course.
